Having a hard time

Post by littelpunkgoddess »

I bought a cactus a couple of weeks ago and now am trying to figure out what kind it is. The best I can describe it is this: it is a tall cactus, has thin, pointy spines, looks like it is growing hair or something, and, not to be gross or anything, but for the sake of describing it, looks a bit like a...male member. If anyone knows what type of cactus this is, please let me know so I can look up care instructions. Thank you.

Hmmm. It is tough to ID soley on descriptions without seeing the actual plant, but my best guess would be Espostoa melanostele or Espostoa ritteri based on your description so far. Check those out here: http://www.cactiguide.com/cactus/?genus=Espostoa

Let us know if that is it or not.
