Because the rather vague "Top Views" category resulted in a lot of wonderful and unique submissions, I would like to propose the topic: RED

The subject should be the color red. It could be a close-up of a Notocactus stigma, or the petals of a flower, or the spines of a cactus, or the skin of a succulent, just so that the color red is the Subject, not just a one of the colors in an image.

Alternatively, the color Blue might be interesting because it would mean Cactus flowers would be automatically excluded from the competition. 8)

Why not do something as most artistic (note i havent gone completely through this part of the forum yet) Like do one for strictly most artistic photo or placemnt of cacti and then do one for succulents or something.
So new... So much to discover...Sincerely Shala

The idea is nice, but rules out everyone who can't grow cacti outside because of his/her climate.

I won't give away the contest theme (will be posted tonight) but it'll be something along those lines. It will include everybody, no matter where you live.

I was thinking since im not going to get snow anytime soon, I could just empty out all the tiny foam beads from my son's bean bag in the garden and stand way back when I take the shot.
