I've posted a while ago to ask for help, without officially introducing myself. I'm very sorry about that!!
Unfortunately, the sick cereus mostruosa cristata was eventually eaten up by mould. It was so sad
Anyway, I have only been into cactus after I saw a big one, around 1 meter or so, from my village. I didn't know it was an euphorbia lactea cristata at the time, and went to look for this great plant. After searching the flower market, I bought these:
Cereus forma mostruosa cristata: Meow

Meow looks more or less the same as half a year ago, but I think it's so cute!
Euphorbia Lactea Cristata: Big B

I haven't watered it much before. I'm not sure if that's the reason why it turned pale in color...but after I gave it some water, new sprouts emerged! I water it around once every 1 or 2 weeks, since it's been very sunny lately.
Also an Euphorbia Lactea Cristata: Kirin

The vine thing around it was a stray seed that got into the soil. They seem to be growing quite well together, and I just left it there. Later if I buy more soil, I'll probably replant Kirin properly, and take that vine elsewhere.
The leaves grew a lot bigger than when I bought it half a year ago ^^)d
Mesmerized by the beauty of Meow, I just have to buy another one....

I bought this a last week, and I found grey areas near the soil part.

I don't know if it's the fungus again I bought this in the same shop as my previous one, cuz that's the only place that have them now. If both cactus are eaten by fungus, that's really bad...
Well, this is my collection so far. I've seen a lot of beautiful cactus and euphorbia here and on the net, but before getting any more, I hope to increase my knowledge on how to grow them better.
If there's anything I can do to make them happier, please advice :3
Cheers~

Hello from Hong Kong!!
Well happy to see an official hello!
In any case, it seems you prefer those crested cacti. This is great. I think most crests can't be identified without either knowing where it came from or if you have the exact same one to compare. If you keep getting these crests, you could help many in the ID section figure out what they have.

All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti

Thanks for the welcomes XD
YES!!!!!! I LOVE CRESTED CACTUS AND EUPHORBIA!!! I don't know why! It'll be great if I can help in any way~ I think they're so special but not much is mentioned about them on the net! It was difficult to find their stuff without a name, and their form is so out of the ordinary XD They're so cool!
I would like to ask...if I see soft grey areas near the soil part of the cactus, should I take it out of the soil?
If I put them in the sun, will it help somehow heal the cactus? After my first one died, I really wanna know how to handle situations like these...
Cheers~

Grey areas are fine, but they should not be very soft. I think crests do not do so well on their own roots. Ideally, you might want to get some good hardy stock and graft your crest to that. Otherwise you might try covering the soil with some pea rock or other top dressing to keep dirt from the plant body...Darkwork wrote: I would like to ask...if I see soft grey areas near the soil part of the cactus, should I take it out of the soil?

Thanks and some pics!!
Thanks for the advice! I'll keep an eye to see if the need a grafting. But will the size be too big for grafting? I'm just wondering, if the top continues to grow, will it topple over? ^^;
I've re-potted all my plants to give them better pots and remix the soil with more stones. I've taken these pics.

I've separated my kirin into 2 smaller pots because the big black one didn't have a hole for drainage.

And a lot of pink leaves are growing at the edges
They all seem OK so far I've also bought a "Schultz Cactus Plus" Liquid Plant Food for them.
I'll update more later ^^
Cheers~
