Gymnocalycium

Post by masscactus »

Hey All,

I have been looking for Pilbeam's Gymnocalycium: A Collectors Guide.

Anyone know where I can locate one? Any comments on this book? Any other good books on Gymnocalycium to recommend?

Thanks - Bryan

I'm trying to find it too. If you find two, let me know. I'll do the same.

Wow. Everybody wants one!

I see the other Pilbeam books come around but the Gymno book seems to be very scarce.

Daiv - No I have not noticed but then again I haven't been looking for that one. :)

If I happen to come across it I'll be sure to alert the board.

Yeah, they have it until you call them to order it. :?

I am on their wish list for that one. (I suppose it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't part of a matched series of books.)

While delighted to finally see it offered - it is in New Zealand and it is about 127.00 USD not including shipping, which I am assuming will not be cheap.

No Thelo book Daiv.

Bummer - thanks for thinking of me!

So are you going to "bite the bullet" on that one?

I am very tempted, I really want this book. We'll see what the shipping adds. They offer either air or "economy". Ballpark air figures were very steep and pushed total price over 200.00.

Whoa - as I was searching for the title of the Gymno book I have, Putnam's "Gymnocalyciums" I just came across this! Excellent!

"Thanks to John Pilbeam and to Balkema1) publishing company for their authorization to make this e-version available. Thank you Philippe for tracking the authorizations… and the pdf file!"

Now we all have it. :)
