I forgot to do this

Post by crake »

:oops:

Hey all! The names Crake, I'm a bird. I love eating bugs, swooping around, scratching dirt and nesting with the ladies and stuff... I don't have any eggs yet, but I'm hoping!

:D

Looking forward to hanging around and learning, maybe some day teaching with everyone!...

Hello Crake,
I also want to welcome you to this forum. I hope, that you will enjoy all the crazy members here and learn a lot of good cactus growing tricks.
By the way, you do have a strange name for a bird. In German a Krake is something like a cuttlefish, octopus or squid, while a Kraehe is a crow. :lol:

Yes, my name is strange... for a bird :) My name was inspired by the character 'Crake' from the novel 'Oryx and Crake' by Margaret Eleanor Atwood. It's her most recent novel written in the Orwellian tradition. It's one of her most controversial and one of my favorite books of all... The Crake mentioned in the book was a real species which now is extinct :( If you like to escape reality through reading, do give this book some of your time. You won't regret it :)

@John C- Thanx :toothy4:

@MicroNinja- Hi! :)

@Tony- Yeah, it's ingrained in my instinct to stay away from that bunch... My great, great, great grandbirds made those mistakes for me :duckie:

I love you guys, you're all great!
