Re: Contest 64 : Seedlings
I have to wait until the 5th to submit a photo? Just so people won't be bored I will illustrate my question with a photo of a Ceropegia woodii seedling from my own saved seed. Sown the same day as the pod opened it sprouted within a few days. All 13 came up in two weeks, though one did not have roots.

Re: Contest 64 : Seedlings
Cistanthe guadalupensis.
Four seedlings grew about 1/4" tall and then fell over. I thought they were toast, but they continue to grow laying down.
Fingers crossed this is not the only photo I take of them ever again.

They say it is good for the soul, so, I confess, my poor parenting skills killed them all. RIP babies.
It’s not the fall that kills you; it’s the sudden stop at the end.

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we cannot eat money.

Re: Contest 64 : Seedlings
7-2012, I started Cephalocereus senilis and posted the failures. My failures lead me to join CactiGuide. Thanks to CactiGuide forum, I have tried numerous methods, and received countless feedback. I now have twenty seedlings. I celebrate these seedlings with all of you and make them my entry. C. senilis ssp CactiGuide.
