Red Lobivia

I don't know the species, but the flower is typical of the flower form of plants of the old soehrensia or helianthocereus groups.

Hope you enjoy! CP.

Cheers Tony, I'm not really fussed whether it has a name or not... It's probably a first cousin or something to this one...

That's the problem with Lobivias, now that they've been lumped in with Echinopsis how do you identify them? I have one with a nearly identical flower. Labled just "Lobivia hybrid". Hmm, tells me a whole lot, right? Echinopsis, Schnecinopsis, I don't give a hoot! Give the plant a name!

Very Helianthocereus-shaped but your plant looks tiny, not at all likely to become taller than me any time soon.

Nor me Ian, you are right it is still only a small plant, it's growing in a four inch pot.
