p.109 - Ludovico Pfeiffer (1837)
Plant somewhat erect, somewhat articulated, branchy, bright green, 5-angled; with wide sinuses between compressed ribs, scarcely bent back with closely-spaced tiny white areoles; with 6-8 thin white radial spines, and 4 central spines getting darker, and longer, all of them rigid.
Trunk 2 1/2 - 4 cm diameter. Areoles 8 mm apart. Radial spines 6 mm in length, central spines 10-12 mm. Perhaps too close to Cereus ramosus.
