Species Notes: Comment from Dr. Horacio Larrain -See his photos below... At the spot, there are only some 20 or less exemplars alive, in an extremely fragile and stony environment. The species feeds only on fog for water needs, since it never rains here (or only once, every 7-10 years). This is an endangered species. |
