Nice one Christer! A good example of a graphic pattern suggesting a shape.
Here is another example by Hans Holbein with a certain twist (do you see the scull in the lower left corner ?)

Note most folks see most cacti and or succulents from the sides yes there beautiful, they come in all sorts shapes and sizes, spination and so forth but alot of folks dont capture the full beauty of a cactus or succulent till they view it from the top, the shape and stunning beauty becomes aparent when looking down upon the top of the plant..
Heres the cactus in the pic i used..
