All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti
OK, the pole closed on Halloween and the winner is Greg (tumamoc) for the most excellent C. gigantea skeleton. Not far behind, however, was franj's T. pachanoi stump.
Congrats guys -that was a fun contest. Upcomming contest -Holiday Cacti -what else? I will set up a rules post shortly.

I have always thought that C. gigantea is often more striking dead then alive. If that's possible? A dying or dead gigantea is an entire eclolgy in itself and supports several natural communities and even some industries (furniture, building materials, bird houses, etc).
Thanks you Greg, for preserving this aspect in such an artful manner.
