Yes - a worthy champion of the contest. I found the picture to be quite engaging to the eye!
All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti

It was my personal favorite one too- right in front of iann´s picture.

Thank-you all! That photo is one of my all time favorite garden images. The primordial inflorescence is so strange looking. I'm honored to win with a cabbage photo in a forum dominated by cactophiles. This month's contest had a lot of very good photographs showing texture in new and wonderful ways. Thanks again, everyone.
