Wow! I must see this in person...
Is it an event or an all-time cactus market?

Re: cactus fair Thailand 9/02/2014
wow there are some very nice looking plants, clearly Thailand is the place to go for cultivars.
And as the walls come down and as I look in your eyes
My fear begins to fade recalling all of the times
I have died and will die.
It's all right.
I dont mind
I dont mind.

Some of those cacti on the first pictures don't even seem to be real, they are so shiny and round...
Truly amazing!!
Truly amazing!!
We sailed through endless skies
Stars shine like eyes
The black night sighs
The moon in silver trees
Falls down in tears
Light of the night
The earth, a purple blaze
Of sapphire haze in orbital ways...

Whoa! Would like to pay a visit! Some very interesting plants. Everything looks so clean! I wonder what these cacti cost in Thailand.

Kap Kun Mak Khrap! Loop suay mak mak!
My friend told me he was going to the show but I haven't heard from him about it yet. The funniest thing is he is in one of your pictures! He's the farang on the right in the first picture of your second post. I might be going out there this summer. I've been to Thailand many times so it isn't new to me, though it has been many years since my last visit.
You said they have the sale two times a year. Do you know when the next show is?
Also, I only see cacti in your pictures. Did they have a lot of other succulents too?

Wow, that is amazing. Those thailand grown plants are always so huge and puffed up. They must be feeding those things plant steroids.

Thanks. I kind of did. Just got overwhelmed with work over the holidays plus working on projects on my new house. Hopefully I'll be here more and posting again. I'll send you a PM in a little bit.oldcat61 wrote:Saxicola - Nice to see you posting again. Thought you vanished. Sue

Re: cactus fair Thailand 9/02/2014
Thailand always has warm weather and long days, so the plants are perpetually in summer growth mode, also labor is cheap so they can graft everything.
The pediocactus in particular must be grafted or it'd die quickly over there.
