Wanted to know what you all think of this Astrophytum ornatum.
What do you think... early stages of etiolation? Or just normal growth?

Re: Astrophytum ornatum etiolation?
Just normal new growth showing? One of the easiest and fastest growing Astrophytum's I find and certainly the largest growing up to over a meter tall and some recorded up to two meters. All other Astrophytum's are much lower and slower growing.

Thank you both! I'm going to try to get this one more sun and I probably won't stress it quite so badly this winter.

Ornatums grow faster and need more water than other Astrophytums. We have real chance to see those grown as columnars.

Great photo! When I think of older ornatums I've seen in person, these exact plants at the DBG are the ones that come to mind!
