Propgation method for this cactus

DSC04269-1.jpg DSC04255-1.jpg Hi I've been given a small segment from the large cactus that you see in the first photo ( I think may be Cereus Peruvians?). I would like to know, if I pot it up as is, will it take root or do I need to cleanly cut a piece off the base, let it heal over and then pot i...

Hi
I've had this Euphorbia for a few years now and this year is the first time it's flowered. I think it might be a form of E. canariensis.

Cheers Eileen

Re: Cracks appearing on Parodia

Thanks Steve for your incite into watering. I am learning about watering cacti the hard way and I am very new to knowing which cacti need a little bit more water and which don't. Cracks appearing on Parodia

Hi Guys Just checking my cacti yesterday and I noticed that 3 cracks have appeared on the body of one of my Parodias. Was wondering if any of you had any ideas as to what could have caused this to happen. The plant itself looks a bit scruffy as I have sprayed it with a miticide and it also has those...

Ferocactus sp ?

Hi
I bought this cactus 4 years ago and it was labelled Ferocactus ( Fish Hook cactus ). It's now about 11 cms diameter and I thought I should give it its proper name. Is this F. latispinus?

Eileen

Euphorbia cylindrifolia

Hi
I have two small cuttings of Euphorbia cylindrifolia which are flowering at the moment. Am I correct in thinking that these cuttings will not form the caudex which is typical of E. cylindrifolia, they will just form roots??

Regards
Eileen
